Charlotte J. Shumway

Charlotte J. "Cissy" Shumway, age 66 of Bellbrook, Ohio passed away April 24, 2022. She was born December 14, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Roy and Phyllis Chasteen.

Cissy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She loved family, friends, flowers, humming birds, music, and life. Her incredible kindness and selflessness are what she is remembered most for. Cissy wouldn't want anyone to be sad for her passing. She would want you to celebrate sweet memories and times of laughter with her. Watch the sunrise, listen to the birds sing in the trees, and enjoy the quiet simple moments in life that make it truly beautiful. Love you always...

In addition to her parents, Cissy was preceded in death by her aunt, Carol Bender.

Cissy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ron Shumway; son, Charles (Jessie) Shumway; daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Glancy; grandchildren, Toby Ater and Kylin Glancy; brothers, Howard (Joyce) Chasteen and Jawn (Rita) Chasteen; sister, Sherry (Don) Marshall; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Charlotte Chasteen; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 4pm at the Funeral Home.
