Charlie K. Sears
Age 84, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Hospitality Home East in Xenia after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers and two sisters.
Charlie is survived by his wife of the past 60 years, Ellen M. (Bingham) Sears; one daughter, Sherry (Don) Maples; one son, Jeff (Cathy) Sears; four grandchildren, Darrell (Loretta) Paschal, Angie (Shawn) Myers, Amanda (Josh) Boyd & Justin (Ashley) Sears; nine great grandchildren, Darrell Lee & Abigail Paschal, Macy & Brenden Myers, Austin, Trenton & Ethyn Sears and Jailyn & Aaliyah Boyd; two sisters, Bernice (Robert) Eggers & Imogene Waddle; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie attended County Line Baptist Church. During WW II he served in the U. S. Army. After the war Charlie worked in the Auto Body Industry and later owned and operated Thoma Body Shop. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, with Pastor Donald Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery.
