Charlie A. Roper
Age 60, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 24, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky to William & Jacqueline Roper.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tobye.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Wanda; one son, Charlie A. & his wife Beth Roper; two daughters, Robin Jones and Tracy Roper; one ex son-in-law, Mike Jones; three sisters, Gail (Ed) Crowder, Mary Roper, Linda Markel; one brother from a lifetime friendship, Gene Frowein; seven grandchildren, Jodi & Jessica Jones, Tara, Tony& Toby Harold and Kerri & Gavin Roper; two great grandchildren, Hannah Cantor & Landyn Hammel; three little girls that have always called him "Papaw", Alexia, Maura and Kaitlyn; and by many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb 4, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Feb 5, with Pastor Zeke Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
