Charley Davidson, age 71, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 8, 2022. She was born in Dayton on January 12, 1951 to the late James and Minnie Day. In addition to her parents, Charley was preceded in death by uncles: Jiggs Day, Billy Day, Elmo Day, and Charles Day, Harold Day; aunts: Ruby Critchell, Evelyn Pennington, and Kathy Zellers; cousins: Willie Day and Tim Critchell; extended family: Peggy and Virgil Gentry.
Charley is survived by her son, James Davidson; daughter-in-law, Amanda Davidson; grandsons, Liam and Lane Davidson; brother, Lane Day; sister, Lisa (Brian) Votaw; best friend and life partner, Jim Tinnell; niece, Roni (Lon) Sayer; nieces: Jenna Beymer, Kristen Votaw, and Lyndsey Robbins; nephews, Matt and Nathan Votaw; sister-in-law, Linda (Denney) Florence; niece, Rachella (Chris) Jordan; aunt, Edna Lundy; uncle, Buster Evans; cousins: Cheryl Day, Stephanie Singer, Joy Day, James Day, Julie Day, Karen Isenbarger, Leroy Day, Lamar Day, John Day, Eddie Day, Vanessa Wolf, Ricky Day, Jeff Day, Connie Day, Mark Day, John Day, Eddie Day, Vanessa Wolf, Ricky Day, Jeff Day, Connie Day, Mark Day, and Theresa Evans; and several more Evans cousins that we look forward to meeting; many, many amazing 2nd and 3rd cousins; sisters in love, Sissy Shaffer, Kay Williams, Lori Grant, Louise, Corsiglia, Debbie Shivley, Sue Pratt, and Joanna O'Brien; many 2nd sons she helped raise.
Charley will always be remembered by her contagious smile and hippie soul. She loved her plants and flowers and her baby, her dog Sophie. She loved her music. She enjoyed spending time with all her loved ones most!
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Amanda and/or James Davidson.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Dax Taulbee will follow at 5:00pm.
