Smiley, Charles William Jr. "Bill", age 65, of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. Bill was an accomplished racer and was a member of OVKA, MVSCC & SCCA.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 31 years: Linda (Hibbs) Smiley; sons: Phillip (Kim) Smiley & Michael (Joelle) Maddux; grandchildren: Jacob, Robert, Timothy, Joanna, Drava, Ash, Codie, Michael, Christina, Robbie, Victoria, Branden & Brittany; brother and sister-in-law: Randy (Michelle) Smiley; sister: Beverly Durst; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Katie Knabe and his parents: Charles William Sr. & Catherine (Henderson) Smiley. Bill has loved and touched many people in his life, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, in memory of Bill.
