Charles William Reitz Jr.

Charles W. Reitz Jr., age 82, of Huber Heights and formerly of Sandusky, Ohio passed away Monday, June 21, 2010. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Edith Reitz; and step-mother, Hilda Reitz. He is survived by his children, Linda E. (William) Blazek, Pamela J. (Kent Johnson) Reitz, and Charles "Chip" W. Reitz III; 5 grandchildren, Rowland C. Smith, David C. Smith, Brendan C. Reitz, Lauren J. Johnson, and Elizabeth Cooley; 10 great-grandchildren; step-sister, Terri Kahn; and many other relatives and friends. Charles served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1610 and the AMVETS Post 22. The family will receive friends Friday, June 25, 2010 from 2-4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). The service will follow at 4:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Creek Nursing Home for their love and care. Contributions may be made to the Spring Creek Nursing Home's Activities Department.
