WHITE, CHARLES "CHUCK" S.
78 of Centerville, passed away Friday, August 6, 2004 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Chuck was born July 26, 1926, the son of the late Everett and Nellie White. He served our country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Chuck was a member of the Quail Run Racquet Club; the Isaac Walton League in Oxford, OH; and served on the Centerville Beautification Committee. He worked as Sales Representative for the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Co. and received several Upjohn Sales Academy Awards. He retired after 30 years of service. Chuck is survived by his wife of 56 years, Julia A. White (nee Gfroerer); children, Stephen (Jeanne) White of Appleton, Wisconsin and Susan (Virgil) Harris of Hamilton, Ohio; grandchildren, Jerry (Sonja) Harris, Heather (Mark) Jones, Tara (Armando Hernandez) White, Stephen White, Jr., Betsy White, and Katie White; great grandchildren, Sophia Jones, Isabel Hernandez-White, Danielle Harris, Robby Harris, and Michael Harris. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Chuck's memory to Recovery, Inc., 108 Dearbourne St., Chicago, IL 60608.
