Charles E. Watkins

Charles Eugene Watkins, 91, of Moraine, passed away on November 30, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born on February 19, 1927 to Charles and Venus (Cooksey) Watkins in Bellefontaine, OH.

Charles enlisted in the U.S. Navy from February 2, 1945 to July 1, 1946 where he served in WWII and was Honorably Discharged as a Seaman First Class. He later re-enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 13, 1951 where he served in the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged as Storekeeper Third Class February 11, 1955.

He married Jacqueline Louise Watkins (Seidle). Charles and Jacqueline had four Daughters and one Son.

Charles worked as a Foreman for General Motors.

Charles is survived by his loving Wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Watkins; Daughters, Belinda (Frank) Myers, Robin (David) Dodds, Kendell (Mark) McDaniel, and Alison Beckett; along with several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Titus Watkins; Mother, Venus Watkins; and Son, Evan Watkins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Newcomer South Chapel in Kettering, Ohio.

A Graveside Service will follow immediately at Dayton National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
