Charles Everett Wade, "Chuck," age 75 of Dayton, moved his residence to Heaven on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 1, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Wilbur and Jewel Wade.
Chuck was first and foremost an avid and passionate student of the Bible. He often called himself a "closet theologian with an insatiable appetite to know the Word of God to the fullest." He would spend hours and hours researching Greek and Hebrew words to obtain correct interpretation of the Bible and its true meaning. His fascination with the relevancy of scripture never ceased to amaze him. He was introduced to God in his early life with his parents, sister, and brother, attending church often. His only regret was he didn't attend Seminary. He hoped his legacy would prove to be known for his Love of God and His Word and his right standing with a Holy God, as nothing else mattered to him.
He was the most honest man with an upstanding sense of integrity. He was the most considerate husband and a compassionate, tenderhearted, funny, witty man who was never at a loss for words. Always was a good laugh, never late for an appointment and his word was his bond.
He also enjoyed golfing, especially with "The Foursome," who won many church tournaments. He enjoyed his golfing buddy and lifelong friends Dave Coffey and Don Harmon, on and off the golf course. He also became an accomplished caddy for many professional golfers in the Champions Tour, the LPGA Ladies Tour, and the Nike Tour on a local Ohio and Illinois circuit, which he enjoyed immensely for 10 years.
In 2008, he found out about his ancestral genealogy which led him to Virginia. He decided to try to meet family from his grandfathers' siblings (there were 10) and was more than successful in that endeavor. He met numerous 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins from his Wade family tree that dates back to the 1600's. Chuck was extremely sentimental and reminiscent about his childhood and was a true Miamisburg Viking through and through. He loved school reunions and getting caught up with his old schoolmates at Ron's Pizza.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Norma (Jim) Johnson.
Chuck is survived by his loving and devoted soul mate and wife of 46 years, Cathy; sons, Todd (Keri) and Brad (Cinnimin); brother, Gary (Diana) Wade; grandchildren, Joshua, Bradly Jr., Travis, and Trevor; great grandchildren, Trace, Cash, and Jennings; nieces and nephews, Traci (Randy) Alford, Chris (Megan) Johnson, and Anthony (Jennifer) Wade; beloved cousin, Jimmy (Patricia) Stewart; former daughter-in-law, Donna Trejo; as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.
Chuck's family would like to extend a special thank you for the love, compassion, and care provided by Dr. Elias Anaissie, Dr. Mark Andolina, and Dr. Saulius Girnius his Oncologists and Dr. Nishant Gupta, his Pulmonologist and Hospice of Dayton nurse, Nicole Simpkins, whom he came to rely on her special touch and presence every week.
A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 5 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459).
