Charles Throckmorton (Chuck) of Miamisburg, OH, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and brother, lost his fight with colon cancer, at Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by his family on Wednesday morning, 27 November, 2013. Chuck was born on 30 January, 1956. He is the son of Joann Plotkin of Beavercreek and Jerry (Beverly) Throckmorton of Beavercreek. He is predeceased by his birth father, Charles Lawson and step father, Karl Plotkin. He spent his early years in Beavercreek, graduating from Beavercreek HS in 1974. In Nov 1974, he entered the US Army, he was an MP serving in Germany until Oct 1977, when he was honorably discharged. He spent the next years in Miamisburg, and was employed by the US Postal Service. Chuck loved spending time with his family, watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Green Bay Packers. Growing up he traveled much of the US on family vacations, he had many fond memories of these trips. Chuck is survived by his wife, Jamie Kline Throckmorton, four children, Amanda (Jayson) Jones of Miamisburg, Corey Throckmorton of Miamisburg, Tyler (Morgan) Throckmorton of Nashville, TN and Brooke Throckmorton of Miamisburg. Grandchildren Delani and Parker Jones, and Lawson Throckmorton. Sister Pat Throckmorton of Dayton, brothers, Keith Throckmorton of Nashville, TN, Todd Throckmorton (Ann) Of Washington DC, Gary (Dona) Throckmorton of Dayton, Michael Lawson of Dayton. Step brothers and sisters, Edward Reboulet of Kansas and Suzanne Rogers of Dayton, Sheryl (Jim) Beck of Chicago, IL, Beth (Edward) Shapiro of Denver, CO and David (Shaun) Plotkin of Tucson, AZ. Nephews and nieces, Kurt, Sarah (Todd), Olivia, Allen (Keith) Grayson and Chayse (Gary). He also is survived by his in laws, Bob and Jean Basore of Miamisburg and James and Margaret Kline of Germantown and Brooke's fiancé Eric Parker of Miamisburg. Chuck leaves two special friends from his Army days, John Moreno of Ft Wayne, IN and Jeff Peraino of Chicago, IL. He leaves many other friends, many of whom he met at ball games that his children were involved in. This past summer he was able to watch his granddaughter Delani play her first year in T-ball. His greatest Joy in life was to be with his family and he wanted so much to see all of them married and to watch his grandchildren grow up, this was all taken from him, but he will live on forever in the hearts of all his family. The family would like to thank Hospice for the wonderful care of Chuck and our family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the "No Buts About It Fund" in his memory. Information about how to donate will be available at the funeral, this is a fund to raise awareness about colon cancer. The viewing and funeral service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH on Monday 2 December. Viewing from 12:00N-2:00PM, followed by the funeral service. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton.
