Charles Taylor, age 77 of Dayton, OH, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born December 24, 1938 in Mallie, Kentucky to the late Willis and Velma Taylor.
Charles served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Duriron, later Flowserve, retiring after over 30 years. He was a longtime, active member of the Victory Temple. Charles loved people, loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan and loved to fish. He dearly loved his family, especially cherishing time with his grandchildren. Charles will be dearly missed by all who's lives he touched and will be remembered for his favorite saying "Glad you got to see me again, if you need me, I'll call ya."
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Taylor and brother, Marvin Taylor.
Charles will be missed by his loving children, LaDonna (Sean) Hudson and Charles (Amy) Taylor; grandchildren, Owen and Elise Taylor; siblings, Rudy (Darlene) Taylor and Evelyn (Del) Robbins and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Victory Temple, 2443 Valle Greene Dr., Fairborn, Ohio 45324, Pastors Tim Walden and Ancil Carter, officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens.
