Charles William Spindler

SPINDLER, Charles William Age 96, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, surrounded by his daughter, Amy Rau, and granddaughter, April Matthews.
He was born on July 3, 1924 in Chillicothe, Ohio where he was raised by his grandparents. Charles proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II on multiple battleships. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with an engineering degree to go on to a career with Delco Products. He married his great love, Juanita, on January 19, 1952, where they went on to have 3 beautiful children. After retirement Charles enjoyed playing golf, doing yard work and home projects, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Juanita Spindler; daughter Linda Spindler; son Michael Spindler.
Charles is survived by daughter Amy (Tim) Rau; daughter-in-law Judy (Michael) Spindler; granddaughter April Matthews (Matt Seitz); granddaughter Shannon (Joey) Lutz; grandson Aaron (Maria) Spindler; granddaughter Miki (Paul) Monninger; granddaughter Faith Spindler; and great-grandchildren Shelby, Zachary, Judah, Marleau, Aksel, Asher, Drew, Jack, and baby Charlie (who is named after our sweet papaw).
Private burial services will be provided by Newcomer South Chapel, Dayton, OH at David's Cemetery.
