Charles Sparks

SPARKS, Charles A., age 86, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bessie (Jones) Sparks, sisters, Nelly Wells and Ruby Ellis, and brothers, Wilby and Shelby Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Sally Sparks, sister, Lila Hickey, children, James Sparks, Vonda Sparks, Karen Porter and Kathleen W. Batham, step-children, Janis (David) Boggs of TN, Ruth (Gary) Morris of Miamisburg, Kathy (Gerald) Yates of Franklin and Keith (Jazel) Raleigh of Las Vegas, favorite nephew Dave Hall, special grandsons, Brandon and Brett Yates along with Dana Townsley, David Boggs, Gary Lee, Jason and Chad Morris, Jason, Justin, Jeffrey, Kellar, Danielle and Azela Raleigh. He was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church, a Veteran of the United States Airforce from 1942 to 1945, and retired from Georgia Pacific in 1989. Family will receive guests Monday, February 15, 2010 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439) with services immediately following. Pastor Vester Smith will be officiating services. He will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery (Miamisburg, OH).
