Charles A. Smith, 78, of Huber Heights, OH passed away peacefully on October 2, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Chuck was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 24, 1938 to Charles and Jessie (Brideweiser) Smith. He married Kathy Lawson on September 13, 1965 in Monroe, MI.
Chuck proudly served his country in the US Army and worked at Chrysler/Dayton Thermal Products where he retired after 37 years. He loved to gamble, his trips to Las Vegas and traveling out west to visit the mountains and the desert. He was a passionate Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Chuck loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Chuck is survived by his spouse, Kathy; two daughters, Yvonne Smith and Dawn Behnken; one granddaughter, Brittany Anderson; a great granddaughter who he loved dearly, made him smile endlessly and lit up his world, Charli Louden; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin sisters, Judy Mueller and JoAnn Dills.
A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.
