Charles Sammons

Charles L. Sammons, age 62 of Dayton, passed away July 7, 2012. He was born July 18, 1949 in Georgetown, KY. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Cartwright and brother, Danny Sammons.

Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Heidi (Pritschau) Sammons; sisters: Barbara Runyon, Patti Harmon, Sharon Pogash and Vicky Griffin; brothers: Roger Sammons and Tim Sammons; mother-in-law, Rebecca J. Higgins; many nieces, nephews, other family members, caregivers and friends.

Charlie was a born again Christian who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Browns and baseball. He also loved books and was a people person. All who knew Charlie loved him.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Rhema Lighthouse Christian Center, 3271 Glen Helen Road, Trotwood, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Pastor Titus Patrick officiating. Burial to follow at Bearcreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
