HOLLAND, Charles Reed, age 63, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010. He was born November 16, 1946 in Athens, TN to the late Reuben and Frances Holland. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Holland; sons, Lance Holland of Cookeville, TN and Casey (Ginger) Holland of Riceville, TN, as well as many other family members and friends.
He graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1973 with an industrial engineering degree. Reed retired from WPAFB after 29 years of federal service. He was a faithful and active member of Central Avenue Church of Christ, Fairborn. He was an avid softball player and coach in the Dayton area, as well as a loyal Tennessee Vols fan.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Central Avenue Church of Christ, 922 S. Central Ave., Fairborn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Avenue Church of Christ for the Potter Children's Home.
