STROUD, Charles R. "Chuck" age 65 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Grandview Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Thelma Stroud, his nephew Keith Stroud and his father-in-law Robert Thomas. He is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 28 years, his brother James and wife Sue Stroud of Zolfo Springs, Florida; mother-in-law Alice Thomas; brother-in-law David Thomas and sister-in-law Pamela Stuckert; nieces and nephews Belinda Huber, Colin and Jamie Stuckert; grand nieces and nephews Derrrique, Ciera and Alexis Stroud, Jezelle Felix, Suzi May and Christopher Huber; great-great niece and nephew Cameron and Kaylee May; and many other relatives and friends. Chuck graduated from Wright State University with his BS in Finance and an MBA. For many years, Chuck owned and operated the Dayton Casket Company. He also enjoyed participating in business and financial ventures with his friends. Chuck was an avid traveler, visiting all 50 states with his wife Carol. He loved his family, friends, all babies, and his poker. He was an inspiration to all with his cheerfulness and courage. A prayer service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, with Fr. William Thomas, celebrant. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
