Charles R."Dick" Brest
Charles R. "Dick" Brest, age 77, passed away May 31, 2011. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Brest; and brother, George Brest, Jr.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Laura E. Brest; sons: James (Debbie), Robert (Carol) and Stephen (Debbie); daughters: Sherry (Dan) Hall and Jeanine (Jeff) Wright; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Joan) Brest; sisters, Judy (Paul) Brodnick and Pat Seamen (Chris Armentrout); and step-daughter, Helen (Les) Daniel.
Charles attended Our Lady of Rosary grade school, Kiser High School, joined the U.S. Navy, then worked for the Duriron Corporation for 47 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one and one half hours prior to the service, from 12:00 noon – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charles' memory to a charity of your choice or to The Hospice of Dayton.
