Charles R. Boyd

Charles R. Boyd, age 82 of Dayton, reunited with his wife, Louise Boyd, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was born February 23, 1932 in Wheelwright, KY to the late Worley and Ella (Rice) Boyd. Charles was preceded in death by his youngest son, Greg Boyd and granddaughter, Lauren Boyd.
He is survived by his children, Steve and Diana Boyd, John and Brenda Boyd, Wadonna Boyd and Debbie Boyd; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde Boyd and a host of extended family and friends.
Charles served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea in which he was a Prisoner of War for 3 years. He worked and retired from United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, AFL-CIO, CLC.
A funeral procession will leave Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel at 12:45 PM.
