Charles Andrew Poteet

Charles Andrew Poteet, age 64 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Hospice of Dayton on May 7, 2021. He was born April 10, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Lewis and Lillian Poteet.

Charles was a loving, devoted, faithful, providing brother whom loved his brothers dearly. Charles was a devoted Catholic. He loved nature and enjoyed taking the bus throughout the city to explore new things. He was such a gentleman who just enjoyed being with those around him. Charles had a unique and interesting soul and had an amazing giving heart. Charles was just a beautiful person, he was kind to everyone no matter who you were. He always found the good in people.

So in addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Poteet.

Charles is survived by his brother, Lewis Poteet of Dayton, Ohio; special friends, John (Julie) Sostrom and their daughter Maria Lingg; The Heider Family; his dog, Oscar; numerous loving friends from WPAFB BX; his St. Helen Church family.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. Helen Parish at 11am (5100 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, Ohio 45431).

Charles will be laid to rest at a later date.
