Charles E. Metzner Sr.

Charles E. Metzner Sr., age 90, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 29, 2016, surrounded by his family. Charles was born December 5, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Peggy Metzner; children Vel (J.) Pressley, Chuck (Sandy) Metzner, Tony (Linda) Metzner, Becky (John) Ellis, and Sherry (Rick) Thomas; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (Beavercreek Chapel at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road), with funeral services to follow at 1:30 pm. Pastor Harry Stewart will officiate, and burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Xenia.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Miami Valley for their wonderful care.
