Charles M. Shaffer, age 80, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was born March 10, 1936 in Hiltons, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Shaffer; father, Luke Shaffer; mother, Florence Morrison; and brothers, Walter, Paul and James Shaffer.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Sandra J. (Gary) Jones; step-son, Ted (Amy) Brooks; step-daughter, Lori (Rich) Embry; brothers, Jim (June) Shaffer, Bill (Shirley) Shaffer and Roy (Judy) Shaffer; grandchildren, Brian (Heather Gleason), Brad (Gabbi Montavon), Brendon, Alyssa and Steve; great-grandchild, Gabe; and numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, service at 7 pm on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice of Dayton or Wounded Warrior Project.
