March 17, 1943 — April 10, 2022

Charles "Chuck" Leonard, age 79, of Kettering, passed away on April 10, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 17, 1943, the son of the late Damon and Christine Leonard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Gary Leonard and Jim Leonard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirlene Leonard; his dear children, Robert (Annette) Leonard, Deron (Linda) Leonard and Teresa (Clark) Spencer; grandchildren, Michelle, Deron "D.J.", April, Danielle, Thomas "T.J." and Trenton; great grandchildren, Rylin, Rozlyn, Remy, Mylah, Grayson, Isabella and Benjamin; sister, Beverly Kirk; and many other loving family and friends (including those in Tucson, Arizona).

He was the former Owner/Operator of Leonard's Garage and Body Shop, where he was a master of his craft. In his free time, he was an NFL fanatic (especially for his Cincinnati Bengals), a softball enthusiast and loved spending time with his family. He was truly devoted to his family and those he loved. He had a kind and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

A private Celebration of his Life will be held by the family at a later date.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lori, Dona, Tim and other staff members, who provided wonderful care to him while under Hospice care.
