Charles A. "Chuck" Kover, age 77 of Huber Heights, passed away May 4, 2012. He was born July 28, 1934 in Dayton to the late Thomas and Mary Kover. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel Kover and Thomas (Arlene) Kover; and sister, Beatrice Brown.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth Kover; 3 children: James (Diane) Baker, Susan (Michael) Blevins and Mary Baker; 5 grandchildren: Donovan James (Brenda Seeley) Baker, Leslie Marie (Douglas) Madewell, Chad Edward (Julie) Baker, Jamie Lynn Blevins and Stephanie Marie Blevins; 6 great grandchildren: Kiersten Madewell, Michael Madewell, Charles Clemmons, Angelica Blevins, Max Clemmons, Matthew Baker, Alec Dickenson, Jenna Dickenson and Elijah Dickenson; brother, John (Maude) Kover; sister, Clesta Papp; sister-in-law, Justine Kover; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Chuck retired after 35 years of service from the Waste Management Department. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed fishing and loved his remote and his green blanket. Chuck accepted Christ as his Savior on April 18, 1978 at North Dayton Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 5-7 pm. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The Kover family would like to extend a special thank you to his doctors and nurses at Miami Valley Hospital.
