Charles Huff

Charles A. "Allen" Huff, Sr., age 77 of Tipp City, passed away January 24, 2014. He was born January 11, 1937 in Dayton to the late Oscar and Myrtle Huff. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Huff; and several brothers and sisters.
Allen is survived by his sons: Charles (Kelly) Huff, Jr. and David Tyler Huff; 3 grandchildren: Austin, Rachel and Brice Huff; brother, Richard Huff; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Allen was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring after 20 years of service as Senior Chief Petty Officer First Class. He also retired from Sherwin Williams in Columbus and volunteered with the local honor guard.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the home of Charles and Kelly Huff. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30-1:30 pm. Burial and military honors to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
