Charles Hendrix

November 22, 1923 — February 10, 2014

Charles B. Hendrix, of Dayton, Ohio passed
away Monday, February 10, 2014 at the age of
90. He was born November 22, 1923 in
Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Homer and
Lillian Hendrix.

He is preceded in death by his infant daughter,
Charlene, his young son, Charles "Butch", his
wife Kathleen Hendrix, his parents, his sister
Maxine, and his brothers Harold and Herb.
Charles is survived by his sons - Phillip Hendrix
and his wife, Jeanette "Mooney" and Anthony
Hendrix; his sisters Mary Frances and Carol
Lee, and a brother William Milo. He is also
survived by numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren
and many other family members and friends.
Charles proudly served his country in World
War II, in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge.
He had a long and successful career as a truck driver,
retiring from CCC Trucking in 1980.

The family would also like to recognize his
dedicated caretaker, Loretta Furay, for her
kindness, compassion and comfort which she
provided to Charles during his final years.
The funeral service will be held Thursday,
March 6, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral
Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-
Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at
Newcomer Funeral Home.
