HARGIS, Charles A. age 85, of Beavercreek went to be with his Lord and Savior January 2, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Genevieve; 2 sons, Alvin "Lee" (Monica) and Duane (Shelly); 3 grandchildren, Ashley Hargis, Shane Hargis and Captain Brian Hargis (Tracy), whom is serving in Afghanistan; 5 great – grandchildren, Cory, Ayden, Ashley, Jordan, Izak, and Levi.
Charles participated in The D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach June 6, 1944. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Charles had a great sense of humor and loved his family. He will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 2920 Beaver Valley Rd.
