Charles Hubert Greer

February 19, 1935 — January 30, 2018

Charles Hubert "Charlie Reb" Greer, age 82 of Riverside, passed away January 30, 2018. He was born February 19, 1935 in Pike County, KY to the late Marcus and Bertha Greer. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lois Greer; daughter, JoAnn Radcliff; son, Charles Edward "Eddie" Greer; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Charles is survived by his daughters: Cheryl (Ronnie) Bowling and Rhonda (Robert) Howell; daughter-in-law: Jenny Babros; daughter by choice, Debra Peterson; 8 grandchildren: Mike Greer, Christy (Shane) Howell-Deaton, Matt Engle, Zeke (Kirsty) Bowling, Jakob Howell, Caitlin Ruby Greer (Cody) Babros, Shayne Howell and Jessica Babros; 6 great-grandchildren: Brandon (Katlyn), McKenzie, Breanna, Josh, Trenton and Fayth; 2 great-great grandchildren: Brayleigh and Kaydence; 3 brothers: Joe "Morris" (Irene) Greer, Mark Greer and Glenn (Sue) Greer; 1 sister, June Newsom; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charles retired from the Chrysler Corporation as a Class A Welder; he previously worked at Ford and General Motors. Charles worked several jobs during his life to provide for his family; he was a truck driver for many years, worked in the coal mines and was an iron worker as well. He was a huge car and truck enthusiast. From building and repairing them to showing them in shows and cruise ins, his love for automobiles never ceased. He passed that love on to his children, grandchildren and beyond.

Charles was country as the day is long. He was a huge Kentucky Wildcats and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. But most of all, Charles was, as he always said, "Rich In Love and Family." He was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Charles lived every day to make someone smile or laugh and he succeeded at doing just that.
