Charles E. Gottes

August 8, 1951 — November 5, 2022

Charles E. Gottes, age 71, passed away on November 5th at the Dayton VA Hospice unit. His deceased parents were Harold and Rosalind (Huelsman) Gottes.

His memory lives on in friends and family:

Siblings are Robert and Marie (Borger) Gottes of Kettering; Jean (and the late Larry) Bergman of Minster; (the late Donald) and Connie (Wehrkamp) Gottes of St. Henry; and Elaine and Mike Cridlin of Huber Heights. As well as 7 nieces, 18 great and 3 great-great-nieces; 6 nephews and 14 great nephews with 2 late great nephews.

Chuck took an enjoyment reading about WWII and visiting WWII museums.

Interment will be at the Dayton VA National Cemetery at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Always Loved, Never Forgotten.

A graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2pm. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. When you arrive at Dayton National, follow the signs to Shelter B, park at the stop sign and wait for the cemetery staff to escort you down to the shelter where military honors and services will be rendered.
