Charles Gene "Geno" Short
Age 62, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Charles was born January 10, 1946 in Richmond, Kentucky to Orvel & Zelma Mae (Lowery) Short.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Sandi (Blakley) Short; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck & Robin Short, Ron & Robin Short and Greg & Jennifer Short; three grandchildren, Scott, Brad and Matt; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary & Vickie Short; and by his extended family and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Cox.
Gene was a longtime employee of Yoder Industries. He enjoyed playing guitar & piano and working on projects with his grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday (12/19), and from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon, Saturday at the Valley Street Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2605 Valley Street, Dayton, Ohio 45404. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday at the church with Pastor Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Willowview Cemetery.
