Charles E. Reuber, Sr, age 86 departed this life on June 24, 2013 surrounded by his children.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 27, 1927. He grew up on the east end of Dayton, but moved to Medway, Ohio to raise his children in 1970. He retired from W.H. Kiefaber Co. after 42 years of service. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and turtle-hunting. He was well-known and loved in the small mobile home park where he resided.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis in January 1992.
He is survived by his children, Charles E. Reuber, Jr., Donna (& Jim) Holmes, Debbie Ruddy, Mike (& Linda) Reuber, and Tim (& Valerie) Reuber, six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a score of nieces and nephews, and countless friends and caring neighbors. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Betty and his faithful companion Charlie; his cat.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, June 28, 2013 also at the Beavercreek Chapel. Pastor Robert Ison officiating. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
