Charles "Chick" E. Langford Jr., age 68, passed away August 14, 2016 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born to the late Charles E. Sr. and Dorothy Langford on April 24, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. Chick was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Marine Corps who served from 1966-1969. He then became a union electrician out of IBEW Local 82, retiring in 2003. Chick was an avid coach of little league baseball and soccer. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 668 and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9582. Chick is survived by his loving wife of 46 ½ years, Debbie Langford; two sons Matthew (Jennifer) Langford, Scott (Amy) Langford; six grandchildren Thomas, Benjamin, Daniel, Alexander, Abigail, Olivia; three sisters Linda Strominger of Bellevue, Nebraska, Debbra (Charlie) Gates of Springfield, Virginia, Cheryl (Steve) Lacey of Troy, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5pm-7pm with a funeral service to follow on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the funeral home at 10:30am. Burial to take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
