Charles E. Brooks was born on December 9, 1935 in Paris, KY to Charleston and Elizabeth Brooks. He transitioned on June 22, 2022.

Charles was a faithful member of Maranatha Worship Centre until his health no longer permitted. He served as a deacon, assisted with the food ministry and was the Secretary for the Men's Ministry. Charles loved to sing and was a member of several Male Chorus groups. He loved old school groups such as, The Five Blind Boys of Alabama, James Cleveland and the Mighty Clouds of Joy.
