Charles Daniel "Dan" Riley passed away late Monday night, July 4, 2011 at the age of 79. The son of John Carl and Sarah Ann (Bucy), he was born on September 1, 1931 in Fairmont, WV. He is survived by his best friend, Beverly; daughter, Colleen (Gerry) and granddaughters, Stephanie and Danielle Heller; brothers John (Dolores) of Bradenton, FL and Gene (Pat) of Aberdeen, OH. Lovingly known as "Uncle Danny", he is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and a great-grandniece and great-grandnephew. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Richard.
Mr. Riley proudly served in the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict. Dan was a roofer and retired from Harold J. Becker Co. He was known for his ability to design, build or fix anything. People admired his easy smile and laugh. He loved bicycling, reading newspapers, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM TODAY, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. A graveside service will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 8, 2011 at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia Ohio.
