Charles Lindsey Childers

Charles Lindsey Childers, age 75 of Dayton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Kettering Health Main Campus. He was born July 16, 1948 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of the late Odell and Sara Childers.
Chuck was one of the best known and loved wedding photographers in Dayton for 40 years where he owned and operated Childers Photography. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and shooting his arsenal of guns. He was also a proud graduate of University of Dayton School of Law and received his undergraduate from Wright State University; where his daughter followed in his footsteps and graduated from there as well. His son is also following in his footsteps by attending Law School at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. His children were his pride and joy.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his uncle, Lloyd Charles Dodd, affectionately known as Uncle Bubba.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Eileen Childers nee Moriarty; children, Charles C.A Childers & Kathryn M.V Childers (Little One); sister-in-law, Christine Smith; sisters, Sarah Lynn Williams & Saundra Lee Michele Fisher; and dearest friend, Mary Rice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pink Ribbon Good in Chuck's memory.
Services will be held privately for the family and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
