Charles A. Buchanan

Charles A. Buchanan, 89, of Beavercreek, passed away October 23, 2017. Charles was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 24, 1928 to the late Charles and Myrtle Buchanan. Charles retired from GM after 26 years of service as a tool maker. In his free time he enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and spending time with family. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Lois Buchanan; and son, John A. Buchanan. He is survived by his sons, Tim (Diane) Buchanan, James (Donna) Buchanan; daughter, Rebecca (Don Arnett) DeLong; grandchildren, Alison, Erin, Joseph, Lisa (Andrew), Matthew (Samm), Auriel; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Savana, Emma, Maxton, Waylon; and special friend, Mary Lou Driver. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 2pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
