Charles George Bleidorn

September 18, 1936 — October 16, 2022

Charles George Bleidorn (86), passed on October 16, 2022. Charlie was born to Lydia and Harry Bleidorn in Woodbury, NJ on September 18, 1936. As kids, Charlie and his brother, Harry, spent many weekends fishing along the Jersey shore, something he enjoyed throughout his life. Charlie passed his love of all things outdoors, especially the ocean, beaches, and fishing on to his kids.

During his life, he served in the Navy, stationed shipboard across the Western Pacific. He later earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and later an MBA from the University of Dayton. He worked as an aeronautical engineer at Wright-Patterson AFB on programs such as the F-16 and B-2 Bomber until his retirement in 1992. It was in Dayton that he met and married Patricia. They made their home in Beavercreek, OH where they raised their four children.

He is survived by Patricia Bleidorn, and their children and families, Connie, Brian, Julie and Matt Buynacek, John and Amy Bleidorn, Tom and Sarah Bleidorn, and Kathy Bleidorn, his brother, Harry Bleidorn, his sister, Elizabeth McNulty and their families.

Charlie meant so much to so many. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with loved ones who preceded him in death. Until we meet again. We love and miss you dearly.
