Charlene Inskeep, age 84, of Waynesville, passed away on December 10, 2020. Charlene was born on January 12, 1936, in Dayton, OH. She was the daughter of Aster and Pearl (Roberts) Smith.
In 1999 Charlene retired from being a bookkeeper after 10 years of service. Charlene had a talent for sewing and embroidering. Every year she would find something new to make for all of her family and friends for Christmas gifts. She was such a talented seamstress that she made all of her children's clothes when they were young. She loved making dolls for her grand-kids, especially "Raggedy Ann Dolls." Charlene was an avid reader and enjoyed reading romance novels. She was an incredible sister to her siblings.
Charlene is survived by her loving daughters, Pam (Gary) Bentley of Miamisburg, Judy (John) Muller of Dayton and Terri Jones of Phoenix; son, James Inskeep of San Angelo, TX; granddaughter, Nicole Cordero of Waynesville; and sister, Sonja Schaffers of Ogden, UT.
Along with her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, James Inskeep.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Miami Valley Memory Gardens with Pastor Joe Getts officiating.
The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
