Charity L. Cramer, age 94, of Dayton, passed away on March 13, 2023. She was born in Tazewell, Tennessee, on September 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Millard and Elsie Buis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Vernon D. Cramer; her first husband, Milton Rains; her son, John Rains; grandchildren, Scott Chisholm and Jenna Workman; her two brothers and five sisters.

Charity is survived by her children, Shirley Casstevens-Allen, Carolyn (Jeff) Reynolds and Michael (Carolyn) Rains; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; siblings, Thelma Jones, Delores Shunk and Phyllis Clark; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
