Cecil Day, Sr.
DAY, Cecil E. Sr. age 74 passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita "Lorene"; parents, Aud and Oma Day; sister, Mary Helen Lively; and infant brother.
He is survived by his children, Sharon (Dan) Murray, LaVonna (Bob) Beers, Cindy (James) Riley, and Cecil Day, Jr. (Millie); grandchildren, Laurie (Bryan), Jennifer (Johan), Ron (Rosalyn), Brad (Kari), Stephanie (AJ), Tyler, Cory, Jamie, and Cecil, III; great-granddaughter, Ava; dear friends, Brandon, Courtney, Connor, Dalton; sister, Brenda (John) Shriver; brothers, David and Clarence Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He cherished spending time with family and classic cars. He retired from National Life Insurance after 40 years of service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Interment will follow funeral services at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
