C.D. And Verdie Thomas

C.D. and Verdie Thomas, who married July 1, 1950, are now together forever. Verdie passed away August 31, 2017 and C.D. passed away September 3, 2017. They were married for 67 years.

C.D. was born June 30, 1927 in Harriman, TN to the late George and Pearl Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Curt, Frank, Fred, Roland, James Ed and Jack; and sister, Cecil.

Verdie was born August 18, 1931 in Whitley County, KY to the late John and Linda Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Vadie, Eva and Irene; and brothers: Ed, Dave, Bill and Leon.

Their son, Billy preceded each of them in death.

C.D. and Verdie are survived by their sons: Ron (Verna) and Rick (Sherry); grandchildren: Tonya, Tara, Mandy, Melissa and Matthew; siblings: Roy, Onnie and Faye; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral services will begin at 10:30 am.
