Cay Ann "Mommy Cay" Freels, 63, of Kettering, passed away on January 18, 2019.
She was born on January 14, 1956 to Edwin and Elizabeth (Hikel) Beard in Columbus, OH.
Cay spent most of her early years on a farm. She played the French horn and flute for many years, and other instruments. Cay worked as a paramedic firefighter before dedicating her life to raising a family; she always wanted to be a mother.
Cay married Michael Freels and they made Kettering their home in more recent years. Cay and Michael over the course of their years raised 8 children together, and family was everything to her. Michael always knew that Cay was the best thing to ever happen to him through the years they spent together.
Cay is survived by her loving Husband and Best Friend, Michael; Children, Sean McGarvey, Scott Franks, Stephen Freels, Shane Freels, Seth Freels, Arieanah Freels, and Kyreanah Freels; many Grandchildren; Sisters, Cathy Leitschuh, Carin Burr, and Caryl Wyatt; Brother, John Lamont; Special Friend, Kim Ziska Gentry; Nieces, Nephews, and many other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Edwin and Elizabeth Beard; Daughter, Cayleigh Freels; and Sister, Carla Still.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Beavercreek, Ohio.
Memorials are suggested to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital (3333 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229).
