Cathy C. Stall, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. She was born on June 15, 1950 in Peebles, OH to the late Ethel and Oren Brooks.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Brooks, her father, Oren (Dude) Brooks and her younger brother, Randy Brooks.
Cathy is survived by her children, eldest daughter Candace, middle son Shannon (wife Shelly) and youngest daughter, Tessa.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Dallas, Michael, Cheyenna, Bailey, Brianna, Shannon Jr., Wyatt and Samuel; great grandchildren, Ryder, Xavier, Avaleigh, Julian, Patience and one on the way, Layla; older brother, James Hoop and his wife Belle; nephew and nieces, Tamie, Tonia, Todd, Traci, Amanda, Miranda and Danielle. Cathy is also survived by countless great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, relatives and loved ones.
She was devoted to her faith and her family (and maybe Walmart and McDonalds coffee, when she could). She loved to have fun, drink McDonalds coffee with two creams, shop at Walmart, drive down home, visit with people, plant vegetable and flower gardens and laugh. She had an unmistakable, one of a kind, contagious laugh. Once she got going, nothing could stop it. Everyone within hearing range couldn't help but to laugh with her. Her laughter brought people joy and made them smile. When she would visit family "down home" you could usually hear her laughing before you could see her. Family would come from all around saying, "I knew that was you Cathy Brooks!". Everyone would share in the laughter with banter and jokes. Cathy could give it, just as well take it. She may have been small, but she could be a force to be reckoned with if need be. She was a little lady, with a big laugh and an even bigger heart.
Cathy is immeasurably loved, missed just the same and will never be forgotten. She is finally free to fly into the open arms of her father, her mother, her brother and our lord and savior, Amen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
