Jewell, Cathy S., age 61, of Kettering, passed away March 6, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born June 24, 1955 in West Liberty, KY to Elmer and Betty (Hale) Cox. Cathy graduated from Fairborn High School in 1973.
Cathy was a hostess at Christopher's Restaurant and also worked as a Retail Manager at Elder Beerman in Kettering for many years.
Cathy is survived by her children Amy Jewell, Amanda Jewell, Lindsay Carpenter; former son-in-law K.C. Carpenter; grandchildren Ava, Lucy, Kendall and Henry; former sister-in-law Bobette Mattis and her husband Marty Mattis; former in-laws Maurine and Dexter Jewell; special friends Kathy Jackson and Sharon Horvath; nieces Tiffany Duncan and Tiffany Rabe and nephew Ryan Duncan.
Cathy's family will greet friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering, Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 PM.
A light meal will follow the service at the Masonic Temple, 25 Central Ave., West Carrollton, Ohio 45449.
