Cathryn Diane Mccoy

Cathryn Diane (Lake) McCoy, 76, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 after a brief illness.
Cathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Howland Emerson Lake and Charlotte (Cook) Toor, brother Michael Lake and sister Janemarie Lake, all of California.
A devoted mother, she is survived by her children Julie (Joe) Schuster, Jennifer McCoy and Chris McCoy. She was a loving sister to her siblings Amybeth and Thomas Lake and Diana Toor. Cathryn was a beloved grandmother to her grandchildren Jessica Fecke, Charlotte Fecke, Michael Schuster and Ian Smith, and to her three great-grandchildren.
After devoting her life to raising her three children, Cathryn enjoyed work as a certified nurse aide at Meadowbrook Care Center in Montgomery, Ohio. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her extra time with friends and family.
Throughout her life, her passions were spending time with her children and grandchildren and making the most of every day. Her wisdom, great sense of humor, encouragement, and indomitable spirit will be missed but will continue to inspire.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where family will receive friends and loved ones after the celebration from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.
