Cathey Paulette Johnson, age 71, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Cathey was born in Big Stone Gap, VA on July 1, 1951, to the late Amos & Anna Ruth White. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Johnson; children, Toni Michelle (Kevin) Stanley, April (John) Marsh, Rebecca (Roy) Taylor, Aimee (Craig Kinnison) Johnson, Bill (Brook) Johnson, and Cathey "Katie" (Jesse) Milot; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and many other relatives, friends, and church family. Cathey was a member of Way of the Cross Church for 54 years, a prayer leader for 30 years, and taught early elementary-aged Sunday school for 50 years.
She was a living demonstration of her faith in Jesus Christ. She had unshakable faith in the most difficult times. God gifted her with a supernatural faith, that led her to the feet of Christ. By living in faith, through prayer, is what made Cathey Johnson such a formidable prayer warrior. She is leaving behind such an honorable family legacy. What an amazing woman of God we are celebrating today.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 3-5 pm at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Dr., Dayton, OH 45404. The service will follow at 5pm, with dinner provided following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Mom wanted donations to be sent to the Helping Hands Ministry at Way of the Cross Church.
