Catherine Turner

TURNER, Catherine, 81, of West Carrollton passed away unexpectedly Tuesday February 20, 2007. She is preceded in death by her son Kenny Turner; parents Oscar and Francis Tirey; and nephew Greg Tincher. Catherine is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lutrell Turner; daughter Gina Hicks; former son-in-law Dave Hicks; grandchildren Julie, Mandy, Beth and Kenny Hicks; sister Agnes (Will) Tincher; brother Belvie (Jean) Tirey; nieces and nephews Larry Tincher, Patty (Larry)Thomas, Susan (Steve) Allis, Chuck Tirey, Doug (Patty) Steck, and Kim Steck; and several grand nieces, nephews, and friends, including special friends Sue Baker, Bertha Short, Rosetta Riddell, and Judy Weaver. She was a sweet and kind mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was retired from G.C. Murphy Co., at Hills and Dales and member of Miami Shores Baptist Church. Catherine had survived a long battle with cancer when called to heaven in a traffic accident. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Rd. Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM prior to services at the church. Interment will follow lunch in at church at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
