Scurfield, Catherine F., age 75, of New Lebanon, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2009.
Catherine is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Cathy (John) Miles, Margie Scurfield; sons: John & David Scurfield; grandchildren: Ryan (Jamie) Miles, Zachary (Clarissa) Miles, Jordan & Connor Miles; great grandchildren: Hailey & Collin Miles; brothers: Stephen & Regis Straka; sisters: Virginia McCaffrey, Patricia Curinga; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph; parents: John & Rose (Grunsky) Straka; brothers: John & Bernerd Straka; and sister: Rosemary Watkins.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until time of servcie at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be held privately at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Catherine.
