Catherine O'Neill

O'NEILL, Catherine A. (Katie) 92 of Oakwood, passed away Saturday March 12th at Hospice of Dayton. She was a long time employee and retiree of Rike's downtown Dayton store in the toy department and a member of the 25 Year Club and the Retiree's Club. She is preceded in death by an infant daughter Melinda, sister Helen, and infant grandson Mark Allen. She is survived by her husband John J. and daughter Diana and her husband John Colton Sr. of Kettering. She had four grandchildren: Tammy (David) Sandberg of Melbourne, FL, John Colton Jr. (Linda) of Reynoldsburg, OH, Stephanie Colton of Kettering, and Jennifer (Kendall) Lawson of West Carrollton. She had seven dearly loved great grandchildren: Michael, Christine, and Alexander Sandberg, Benjamin and Rebekah Colton, and Jacob and Jeffrey Lawson. Services are scheduled for 10AM, Thur. Mar. 17 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd in Kettering followed by burial at David's Cemetery, Rev. Brian Thie of Oakwood United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held Wed, Mar. 16 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Dayton.
