Catherine L. Johnson
Age 76, of Huber Heights, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 20, 2007, at Grandview Hospital after an extended illness. Catherine was born March 27, 1931 in Kentucky to Claude & Geneva (Wilson) Hampton. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie & Shelly Porter of Huber Heights; two grandsons, Shelly and Sheldon Porter; four great granddaughters, Briannah, Stacey, Kyrah and Katelynn; one brother, Henry & his wife, Juanita Hampton; and by one nephew, Shawn Hampton and his daughter, Jasmine.
Catherine was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Brethren in Huber Heights.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 5:00 p.m.
